Telluride's Jazz Celebration, which has run for over 20 years, is a 3 day, incredibly laid back event, using a beautiful outdoor venue in the Telluride city park and several "night" venues in bars, opera houses, Elks clubs, and conference centers in Telluride and gondola accessed Mountain Village (read new money). This year's artists included headliner Herbie Mann and about a dozen other groups.
Personal favorites included Stefon Harris (mid-20's vibraphonist phenom), Herbie Mann's pianist (Milcho Leviev, a ~50 year old Bulgarian with dynamite "chops"), and Romero Lubambo & Pamela Driggs (guitar/vocalist duo of Brazilian Jazz).
