History of Telluride
|
|
Telluride, Colorado started as a mining town shortly before Pa Kettle was born. As mining pooped out and the Haight-Ashbury flower children of the late '60's were looking for clean air, Telluride's culture changed to be slightly less work-oriented. About that time some absolutely crazy guy proposed a ski area and an airport to bring in "the beautiful people". That's pretty much the end of the story. There has been a small change in real estate values over the intervening years. Check out the "lot" offered below for $3,220,000. |
